Hi folks ,
finished shooting deadlights at the weekend and kicked arse, best weekend of my life especially blowing up a building for less than a ?100 and getting a fantastic effect as well as having a damm excellent big crew and cast

went over budget though :-( so i have the following equimpent for hire

6 complete sets of Army Combats with Berets
3 sets of Army Webbing
2 Blank Semi automatic blank firing guns
20 Electronic denotated thunder flashes ( will suply crew as well )
10 Smoke Grenades

just wondering whether the pistols had authentic recoil action? ie the topslide moves back and forth, if so...where u get em and are the metal?

Sorry, I'm not interested in the stuff for sale, but I am curious what kind of project you filmed. How did you make such an explosion and are you planning on entering your short in any festivals?

yes the guns have authentic recoil plus the barrels are clear as well, purchased from a tourist shop along the strand. yours for hire at the bargain price of ?20 a day a piece.


Ruthie, the film was Deadlights which is filmed on Beta sp and is a horror film based around a soldier.

we created the effect fo the building blowing up by using paintball thunderflashes and rigging them with smoke grenades at angles along the building

Im updating the deadlights web site this week il stick the url up here soon when its done. there is a bit of a site at www.lookingglass.atfreeweb.com/desktop/deadlights/index.htm but that was when it was reallu low budget. the final budget ended up being around 5- 6000. going to try and get it into as many festivals as poss just got to get it edited but have lost my editing arragements but im working on it.
